June 8, 2016 ~ Voiceover Talent Panel

Panel of Voiceover Professionals

Voiceover Panel 2016

This Wednesday, June 8th, we are proud to present our first-ever Panel of Voiceover Professionals at Baby A’s!

Using our microphones, many times over the years attendees have asked our panelists various questions, and as the man mixing the sound and a professional musician for decades (Gary Wimmer), I am often blown away by the qualities of the questioners’ voices, both male and female. And when they ask questions relating to acting work, the first thing that comes to my mind is “Voice talent! How can you not hear that great voice you have?” That’s right, many in our audience have great voices. So, if you are one of those fortunate folks and have never considered what opportunities there are for voice talent, this mixer is for you, as well as for everyone interested in the work of voiceover professionals.

To roll out this new annual tradition, our first voiceover panel will feature:

Debora Duckett, owner of dB Talent, Voiceover Talent Agency for Professional Actors

Liz Atherton, owner of The Atherton Group, aka TAG Talent, Nationally Award-winning Voiceover Talent

Mj Vandivier, voice coach at The Actor’s School (formerly known as the State Theater School of Acting), Highly-accomplished Actor & Voice Coach

Don’t miss this informative and unique panel of experts — make plans to join us at Baby A’s on Wednesday, June 8, 2016… and bring some friends who are interested in this line of work.

Panel of Talent Agents

Talent Agent Panel 2

We promised to start 2016 with a BANG and we are! So on Wednesday, February 10th, we will feature the 2nd of our panels of talent agents as our guest speakers.

Talent agents are those hard-working people who represent us in the industry in order to set us up for auditions with casting directors, negotiate contracts, and work hard on our behalf, plus get the latest info about what’s happening in the biz. This is exactly what our attendees can expect from this month’s stellar panel:

   Jason Wasner, Acclaim Talent

   Erin Franklin, Agence Talent

   Cynthia Robbins, BLVD Talent

   Heather Collier, Collier Talent

   Veronica Kelley-Albiez, DVA Talent

   Romie Szal-Brown, K Hall Agency

The Network Austin Mixer will introduce these 6 of Austin’s top talent agents who will give a brief overview of his/her agency and experience. Then we’ll open the floor to Q&A.

Non-represented talent currently seeking representation is invited to bring 6 headshots & resumes and/or demo tapes to put on the stage floor in front of each of our speakers, before the panel starts, so that they will each have submission packages to review when they leave.
Make sure your headshot and resume are the same size and stapled back-to back.

Come join us on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, arrive early for a cold margarita, network and meet new friends with like minds, enjoy a fun-filled evening with other guests, and get the info you need to know about these talent agents, what they do, what they are looking for, landing the roles, upcoming projects and more!

Last Month…

We extend our deepest thanks to Jorge Elizondo & James Boyle of The Atherton Group, Linda Alcazar of Condra/Artista Talent, and Tory Christopher of the Tory Christopher Group for so generously giving us their time and sharing their expertise!
