2019 Talent Agents, part 1

We’re starting off 2019 with the first of 2 Panels of Talent Agents. As an integral element of our success, talent agents represent us, arrange auditions, and strive to secure us good-paying work. Therefore it’s critical to know what the current needs and trends are — which is why we start out each year with talent agents. Get the scoop about these agencies’ needs and what you can do to get before casting directors and involved in paying projects by joining us on Wednesday, January 9th @ Opal Divine’s Austin Grill!

The Network Austin Mixer can be counted on to present programs led by the best of the best with the most knowledge & experience in our business and fields related to our industry. In keeping with that, at this month’s mixer our stage will be graced by these top local talent agents, and maybe more:

They’ll be introduced onstage at speakers showtime, initially providing a brief overview of their respective agencies and experience, after which the floor will open to Q&A. Non-represented talent are urged to bring headshots & résumés.

Instructions for Headshots & Résumés: Anyone not currently represented is encouraged to bring several sets (1 for each talent agency, plus extras just in case), with the headshot & résumé stapled back-to-back, for placement at a designated table upon arrival, preferably prior to the beginning of the program, so that each agent can have your submission package to review when they leave.

Last Month:

We enjoyed an exceptionally entertaining #NAMixer on December 12, 2018 when we presented a line-up of 3-minute acts featuring some extraordinary local talent demonstrating their skills as actors, singers, and comedians. More than a few caught the attention of an attendant talent scout or two. We extend our deepest gratitude to all who took part in our 4th Annual Talent Showcase, as well as those who came for the fun & support.

Come on the 9th and bring a friend to network and enjoy the show. While there enjoy Opal Divine’s Happy Hour which lasts until 7, then $3 “Three for Texas” beers the rest of the evening. And don’t cook or go anywhere else for a meal or snacks because Opal’s offers a tasty and largely locally-sourced menu of goodies.

As 2018 comes to a close, it is time once again for our exciting & entertaining Talent Showcase on December 12th at Opal Divine’s Austin Grill!

Our stage will be visited by 22 talented performers committing acts of entertainment including singing, stand-up, acting, rapping, and musical comedy. It will be busy with fun performances from beginning to end. And, of course there will be the usual networking before & after the program that has resulted in jobs, productions, and more over the years since we’ve been holding monthly mixers.

Talent Agents & Casting Directors:

Come be entertained on December 12th by prospective clients and talent for filling upcoming roles, especially since many performers may not yet be represented!

Talent scouts from these companies, and perhaps others, will be sprinkled throughout our audience:

Photography & Videography:

Still photographing is allowed at our mixers; recording video is not — except at our annual Talent Showcase! We hope that those in our audience will snap photos and shoot videos galore. However, the deal is that whatever you record you will immediately share with Network Austin Mixer so that we may feature it on our website and/or social media.

So, plan on coming to Opal Divine’s Austin Grill on Wednesday, December 12th, and invite your friends. Look forward to performances by an amazing array of local talent providing perhaps the most spectacular Talent Showcase at Network Austin Mixer thus far, and benefit by opportunities to mix & mingle with others in our industry.
