Ingrid Edwards, CPA, PC
On Wednesday, June 10, 2015, the Network Austin Mixer will feature Ingrid Edwards, CPA! The information Ingrid will provide can save you money… and everyone likes to save money, right? Whether one works as an independent contractor on a small project or is hired on a major production, there are funds that can be deducted from Uncle Sam’s cut of our income, and these are often overlooked. Let’s face it, if major corporations with teams of high-powered attorneys can take advantage of every possible deduction—and they certainly do—then so should artists, which most of us in the media fields are.
Concerning taxes and deductions, Ingrid will discuss in detail and answer questions about:
☆ Hobby or real business?
☆ What makes an artist a professional?
☆ Tax basics for actors and child actors?
☆ Continuing education or training for a new profession?
☆ Home office – good idea or not?
☆ Travel and meals – how to sort this out?
☆ Apparel, hair and make-up, gym dues, manicure and pedicure, dry cleaning – which count and which don’t?
☆ Additional tax deductions (movie tickets, rentals, TV subscriptions, etc.)
As the principal of Ingrid Edwards CPA PC, Ingrid brings 20 years of experience in public accounting, works with both individuals and businesses, has provided accounting and tax solutions to companies in a wide range of industries, and has conducted audits for companies ranging in size from $1-150 million in annual revenues.
Prior to opening her own firm, Ingrid held senior positions with James E. Roberson & Co. in Austin, TX, and Eugene McRedmond and Co. in Danbury, Connecticut. She holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia and a Business degree from Ecole Superieure De Commerce in Tours, France. She is a member of the American Institute of public Accounts and the Texas Society of CPAs. Needless to say, she is highly-experienced.
Take advantage of this rare opportunity to get free information about taxes, deductions, and more! You do not want to miss this informative and fun-filled evening, so join us on June 10th at Baby A’s for networking and meeting like minds. Enjoy a cold margarita, some great food, and get updated about how to save money.

NOTICE: We all know traffic is horrendous, so… come early and carpool if you can. If Baby Acapulco’s parking is full, you may park at either the Capital Inn (just north of Baby A’s) for $5 or at Super 8 motel (just south of Baby A’s) for $8. Be sure to pay the desk person at either motel when you park there so your vehicle doesn’t get towed away and DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF DUMPSTERS!
