Panel of Talent Agents

Talent Agents, part 1

Happy New Year! And we are starting 2016 with a BANG! On Wednesday, January 13th, we will feature the 1st of 2 panels of talent agents as our guest speakers! Our first panel will be on Wednesday, January 13th, the next will be Wednesday, February 10th, and you should attend both Network Austin Mixers.

Talent agents are those hard-working people who represent us in the industry in order to set us up for auditions with casting directors, negotiate contracts and work hard on our behalf, plus getting the latest info about what’s happening in the biz.  This is exactly what our attendees can expect from this panel. Each agent will be introduced and give a brief overview of his/her agency and experience. We then will open the floor to Q&A. This is a very important Mixer that you do not want to miss… so join us! Our panel will include the following talent agents, listed in alphabetical order by agency:

   Liz Atherton, The Atherton Group

   Linda Alcazar, Condra Artista

   Debora Duckett, dB Talent

   Tory Christopher, Tory Christopher Group

Non-represented talent currently seeking representation is invited to bring 4 headshots & resumes and/or demo tapes to put on the stage floor in front of each of our speakers, before the panel starts, so that they will each have submission packages to review when they leave.
Make sure your headshot and resume are the same size and stapled back-to back.

Come join us on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, arrive early for a cold margarita, network and meet new friends with like minds, enjoy a fun-filled evening with other guests and get the info you need to know about these talent agents, what they do, what they are looking for, landing the roles, upcoming projects and more!

Last Month…

We extend our deepest thanks to Brian Gannon, Austin Film Commision Director for being our guest speaker on Wednesday, November 9, 2015! Prior to his time at the Austin Film Commission, Brian gained production experience working in different capacities on numerous films projects including working on productions at Detour and Troublemaker Studios. NOTICE: We all know rush hour traffic is horrendous, so.… Please carpool and leave in time to arrive early. If Baby Acapulco’s parking lot is full:

  • You may park at the Super 8 Motel (just south of Baby A’s) for $8. Be sure to pay the desk person at Super 8 Motel when you park there so your vehicle doesn’t get towed and DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF DUMPSTERS!
  • If you drive south another 2 blocks, there is on-the-street parking available.

Mixing & Networking begin @ 5:30PM, then the Panel starts @ 6:45.
